The Old Car Manual Project

I found this site today as I was looking for a manual for a student who wanted to rebuild his quadrajet carb. I was surprised when the first site on the list actually had a manual for what I was looking for. The site is called The Old Car Manual Project. I think I will send them some of my old manuals once I have them scanned into my computer and turned into PDFs.

Chevy Engines Galore

I found a site that explains all the casting letters and numbers for chevy engines including that strange clock. Click here for Big Block engines and here for Small Block engines.
Transmission Identification
I came across this site for a transmission repair facility. The cool thing about this site is that they have a transmission identification page. You can track down the specific transmission that any vehicle has. Click here for transmission-fest!

Briggs and Stratton
Briggs and Stratton are a wonderful company. They have an educational program set up through which they supply a brand new Briggs and Stratton engine, for your class to work on and examine, as well as digital and print manuals to go along with the engine. I emailed them a few weeks ago and the shops new engine arived today. I think it is great that there are companies out there that support education like this.
